Darothy Mae Kluttz Smith passed away October 3, 2024. She was born April 30, 1932, She is preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Clyde Donald Smith; parents Lula Weaver Kluttz and George Wiley Kluttz.

She is survived by her cousin who was raised by her parents, Ron Schimpf; daughter Deborah Smith Jeffreys and husband Nelson of Nashville; son George Donald Smith and wife Valerie of Jacksonville, son Robert Dale Smith also of Jacksonville; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren due shortly.

A service was held October 6, 2024 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. with Rev. Scott Dodson and Rev. Lynn Hobbs officiating.

The graveside will be held at 11 a.m. in The Onslow Memorial Gardens, Jacksonville, NC on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
