Grover Hardy "Buddy, Jr." Cole, Jr.

ROCKY MOUNT - Grover Hardy "Buddy, Jr." Cole, Jr., age 70, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Born in Lenoir County on March 1, 1954, he was the son of the late Grover Hardy Cole and Sarah Wallace Mazingo. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dalton "Sam" Hinson.

Grover is survived by his wife of seven and one-half years, Cynthia Balkcum Cole; his daughters, Christy Berreth and husband, Andrew, of Portland, OR and Becky Davis and husband, Tate, of Winterville; his step-son, Sean Rogerson and wife, Amber, of Spring Hope; his step-daughter, Michele King and husband, Jeff, of Fuquay-Varina; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren.

A service will be held Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Oak Level Baptist Church, 3598 Oak Level Road, Rocky Mount, with Pastor Rick Downing officiating. A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at Oak Level Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Grover's memory to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box, 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
