Linwood "Earl" Cockrell, 72, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024. He was born November 13, 1951 in Nash County to the late Harvey and Daisy Harrell Cockrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harvey Ray Cockrell and Donnie Cockrell.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Debra Cockrell; daughter, Christy Rethford (Stephen); sister, Anna Edwards (Billy); and one grandchild.

A memorial service was held November 13, 2024 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Vick officiating
