DR. OMATTA MAHASEN SIRISENA

Rocky Mount - Dr. Omatta Mahasen Sirisena, age 86, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024. Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka on July 29, 1938, he was the son of the late Buddhadasa Sirisena and Ceciliana Lokuralage Sirisena. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Nilanthi Sirisena; and his eight brothers and sisters.

Dr. Sirisena is survived by his second wife, Anoma Attygalle; his daughters, Hasanthika Sirisena, Manoma Sirisena, and Imali Sirisena; his son-in-law, Parker Kitterman; two grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Flowers are welcome or tributes can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

A service will be held Friday, November 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Rocky Mount. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m prior to the service.
