MACON, NC - Jewel Reece Odom, "Reece Carpenter", age 68, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Born in Edgecombe County on May 13, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Thurman Earl Lewis.
Reece is survived by her children, Clancy Carter (Shane), of the home, and Blair Carpenter (Amanda), of Nashville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Jewel Ann Hamill Jones; her brother, Scott Lewis; and nieces.
A service will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Tammy Carter officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service.
