Rocky Mount - Dennis Allen Strickland, age 79, passed away December 16, 2024. He was born July 14, 1945 in Wayne County to Henry and Estelle Strickland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Henry Strickland and grandchildren, Joshua and Madison Boykin.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Leigh Peele Strickland; children, Terri Medford (Garry), Karen Silveri (Anthony), Katie Boykin (David), and Martin Strickland (Jessica); sister, Virginia Ezzell; nine grandchildren,; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.
A service was held December 20, 2024 at Arlington Baptist Church. Burial with Military Honors will followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
