JOAN JOHNSON TAYLOR WOODARD

ROCKY MOUNT - Joan Johnson Taylor Woodard, age 78, passed away January 3, 2025. Born in Nash County on March 6, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Melvin D. Johnson and Betty Pridgen Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Sneaky" Woodard, one brother, Melvin "Squeaky" Johnson, and his wife Linda.

She is survived by her son, Ray Taylor, and wife Renee' of Elm City; daughter, Cindy Capritta, and husband Dan, of Princeton; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

A funeral service was held January 7, 2025 at Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. John Scott officiating. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial contributions can be made to the Pruitt Health Hospice of Rocky Mount, 301 S. Church, Suite 135, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
