Faye Cahoon is recognized by Nash Community College (NCC) as the 2006 recipient of the NCC Staff Award. She is currently the conference center manager of the Brown Auditorium at Nash Community College, and has been employed with the college since October 1997. This award recognizes the outstanding work ethic of a non-instructional employee at the college, and the recipient is chosen by his or her peers.

Police charge Nashville man with rape, incest
A Nashville man was arrested and charged Wednesday with first degree statutory sexual offense, crimes against nature and incest.
Larry Allison Manning, 44, of 212 East Elm Street was arrested by Nashville Police after the victim's father went to police. According to Nashville Police Assistant Chief, Lt. Ray Goodwin, the incident allegedly happened about a month ago and involved a four-year old girl.
